Giant Swallowtail butterflies have a band of yellow spots. Their tails are edged with black and filled with yellow.

Its wingspan is 4 to 6 inches.

Giant Swallowtail butterflies live in rocky and sandy hillsides near streams or gullies.

They can be found through eastern North America west to the Rocky Mountains.

Host Plants: ash, hop

Nectar Plants: azalea, goldenrod, honeysuckle
